Description:
Students will participate in all facets of golf course maintenance and will work closely with the superintendent and assistant superintendents regarding all aspects of golf course management. This will include - course setup, mowing, IPM, pesticide/fertilizer calibrations and applications, irrigation and water management, equipment maintanance, proper record keeping and communication.
Minimum Qualifications:
Interns must currently be enrolled in a turfgrass managemnet program with an emphasis on golf course management.
Wages, Salary and Benefits:
$11/hr + overtime, on-site housing newly renovated house , GCSAA student membership, uniforms, golfing privileges. New maintenance facility provides a clean and safe work environment, 1/2 mile to ocean and beaches. Commuter train station, to Boston, located across from intern house.
Application Requirements:
Positive attitude, motivation and desire to learn and grow in the industry. Must have or be able to obtain Massachusetts Pesticide Applicators license within 30 days. Previous golf course experience a plus, but not required.
